Daily Duties at Reno Sparks Indian Colony:

Directly responsible to the Tribal Administrator (CEO) to revise, develop and implement the policies and program integration. This includes the Education, Human Resources, Seniors, Housing, Human Services and Recreation programs. Compliance demonstrated with the RSIC Tribal Council, Federal, State and Local regulations in all areas of the division’s operations. Responsible for the establishment, implementation, coordination, project management and leadership of division program strategic initiatives to affect the goals and objectives of the Tribal Council across multiple sites. Led and participated in the development of a 5 year strategic plan aligning yearly goals to achieve the expected outcomes across 4 Program areas. Led change management initiative. Performed extensive communication and organizational development skills with management in Community Services, Education, Planning, Public Works, HR and across other divisions as needed to insure that all projects, initiatives, directives or other related work is completed in a timely and complete manner. Participated in interview hiring panels and grievance and appeals processes. Provided leadership and direction to 10 direct reports and 100+ Department Management and Staff. Responsible for the direct supervision of division Management, insuring that each is accountable for the development, coordination and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards for their respective departments. Developed and maintained departmental budgets. Plans, organizes, assigns, directs, reviews and evaluates the work of direct subordinates; selected direct subordinate personnel, and provides for their training and professional development. Evaluated HR processes addressing low income multi-cultural needs and provided updates to those policies to be in compliance with Fair Labor Standards, ADA and other federal regulations. Developed the job description standardization, approval cycle and implementation schedule. Developed training plans for all departments. Redeveloped and implemented, through direct reports 4 departments and 16 programs new processes, procedures to improve operating efficiency, self sufficiency programs, timeliness, and accuracy of workflow. Ensures that operations scale accordingly as business volume increases or decreases. Led subordinate management and/or staff in establishing and maintaining fiscal control over all assigned RSIC programs, assets and records. This includes but is not limited to preparation of yearly, quarterly, monthly and other financial reports for the general fund and contracts and grants, required to discharge the responsibilities established by Tribal, Federal, State and Local authorities
