Daily Duties at Eds:
Delivered IT solutions for external clients. Managed software development, implementation and technical support services using matrixed and multivendor teams through the full project life cycle. * Managed highly talented cross-functional teams responsible for application development, business analysis, functional QA, performance QA, and project management. These teams supported 8 P&C insurers in a centralized support center and on-site for a Worker’s Compensation carrier. * Managed two teams of UNIX System Administrators and DBAs in the largest UNIX environment in Southern California. Initiated service level agreements, developed the tools to provide performance metrics, and re-organized team roles. These actions positively impacted EDS' client relationship enough to enable the account to win a 4 year Windows server support contract and extend its UNIX support contract. * Managed a $4M P&L as well as contract/project resources ranging from proposals to staffing and product delivery. * Advised client executive teams regarding IT policy and strategy and their relation to business conditions; advised IT management regarding market developments and consequences related to IT environment.
