Daily Duties at Stein Mart:
My responsibilities include making sure that the customer’s needs are met. I encourage them to apply for a Stein Mart/Master Card. I receive shoe shipments that come in every Wednesday, and I also process them in. Keep the stockroom clean and organize, along with the sales floor. Every Monday, I change promotional prices, and any during the week as needed. Make monthly sales quotas. I have helped the store receive two awards for penetration, and increase in sales for the first quarter of 2007. I helped the store stay in the number 1 spot since January 2007. As a customer service representative I helped customer’s with their return’s and exchanges. Help them understand the return policy. Check them out with fast, accurate, and outstanding service.
What they like about Stein Mart:
A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
