Daily Duties at Amc Theatres:

AMC Theatres Mesquite, Texas Facilities/Operations/Project Manager 2004 to 2006 Conducted a thorough investigation of all business systems, helped turn around an under performing multi-unit facility to meet company standards. Revamped facility operational strategies for a multi-unit site facility which served more than 1.2M customers annually. Coordinated day-to-day preventative and corrective maintenance operations. Inspected facility to identify and prioritize workload, communicate projects to team members. Managed $400K budget and staff up to 125 people for a 140 thousand square foot facility. Speer headed Facility Operations for two large facilities and assisted with four additional facilities throughout the market. • Restructured facility operations, eliminating safety issues in 30 days. Multiple safety violations threatened operations for 6000 seat facility serving 1.2M customers annually. Inspected, evaluated, and prioritized all facility repair issues. Managed budgets, vendor contracts, and labor scheduling and code compliance issues. Addressed, resolved safety issues immediately. Secured executive agreement for total building upgrade. • Managed relations with contracted vendors and suppliers. Conducted inventory control. Directed procurement of needed items for operations. Established working relationships with all vendors and suppliers. Negotiated contracts with individual vendors and suppliers who provided an ongoing service to the facilities. Evaluated and controlled budget costs associated with each contract which provided a significant cost savings to AMC. • Managed construction operations, completing $13.5M project on schedule. Company needed local a local representative to fill in as an assistant project manager for new facility. Reviewed all project requirements. Worked with project manager during construction to complete corporate expansion. Initiated comprehensive workflow process to maintain project schedule. Worked closely with construction firm management. Responded to all contract variations and change orders. Reported progress to corporate executive management. • Assisted Facility/Operations for four additional theaters. Managed relations with contracted vendors and suppliers. Conducted inventory control. Directed purchasing, employee relations and special projects. Hired and trained new hires. Provided input to Facility Management on special projects to increase the overall safety and appearance of their facilities. Reduced safety issues; improved overall appearance; increased revenue and improved guest experiences.
