Daily Duties at B & M Pallet Corporation:
Corporate Human Resource Management for B and M Pallet Corporation, a Fortune 500 company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of pallets regionally and nationally for contract employers. Under Regional administrative direction, responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing all phases of the activities and operations of the Human Resources Department. Major program responsibilities include management of: recruitment and selection, employee relations, labor contract negotiation and administration, compensation and benefits, job classification, training, human resource information systems, and corporate information services. Direct management of a corporate staff of 5, which includes a HR Manager, Sr. HR Generalist, HR Generalist, and 2 HR Assistants. * Exercises direct supervision over the supervisory/management positions and indirect supervision over the technical and support personnel of the Department. * Continually develop effective partnerships with Senior Management and Corporate staff to proactively recruit the best talent for the culture of the organization * Provides leadership and uses appropriate coaching, supervisory, and evaluation techniques to facilitate continuous improvement and employee development * Coordinates innovative recruiting strategies for Regional Recruiting Team * Establishes the department’s goals, objectives, strategies, and priorities * Quarterly modification and overview of new employee orientation and training programs * Established a testing and interviewing module corporate-wide * Collaborates with City attorney and department heads to implement new regulations arising from legislation and court cases * Directs various ongoing, annual, and project oriented departmental programs and fiscal budgets
