Daily Duties at United Airlines:
Manager – Capital Planning September 2001-March 2003. Directed a six-person group of finance professionals to plan, analyze and track the corporate capital budget ($400-$900 million). Conducted consultative analysis in support of joint ventures and major strategic initiatives. Utilized multiple modeling, analysis and valuation techniques including DCF, NPV, IRR, ROI, ENPV and Monte Carlo analysis. Created all presentation packages for major capital projects to be presented to the Board of Directors. Business partnering and support for CFO, VP of Finance, Division Controllers, and Division Vice Presidents. Division Controller (Manager) – Customer Satisfaction Division July 2000 - September 2001. Set up and implemented all financial controls, reporting, procedures and processes from scratch for the new division. Managed division cost centers with capital and operating budgets of over $100 million. Staff Analyst July 1999 - July 2000. Performed due diligence and business case analysis of corporate capital projects with significant impact on financial performance and make funding recommendations to Vice President of Finance or Chief Financial Officer.
