Daily Duties at Optum Health New Mexico:
Review clinical assessments and certify levels of care according to benefit plan, clinical guidelines, and applicable Medicaid policy. Interface with behavioral providers to initiate comprehensive treatment plans that address gaps and focus on members strengths. Promote, coordinate and facilitate collaboration amongst all parties, including external care management organizations to achieve stated goals. Actively case manage chemical dependency and psychiatric care by concurrently reviewing all levels of care and consulting with medical director as needed. Follow appropriate benefit eligibility procedures. Create and maintain appropriate clinical records to comply with state Medicaid statutes and regulations. Participate as directed in clinical rounds.
