Daily Duties at Safran Helicopter Usa:
Proactively lead the production planning, scheduling, and day-to-day requirements in renovating and repairing the Turbomeca Arriel and Arrius aircraft engines; fuel control unit (FCU), hydro mechanical unit (HMU’s) and other accessories. Direct an effective team which consists of 20 to 45 technicians while overseeing efforts across maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) and test cell shops. Display competencies in fulfilling the following tasks: - Coordination of repair and shop supports projects; - Monitoring and maintenance of budgets; - Tracking of safety and compliance programs; and - Presentation of reports to the management regarding department metrics, employee qualifications, and issues impacting production. Facilitate training of technician on 5S methodology, dynamic cost control, plan–do–check–act or plan–do–check–adjust (PDCA), and quick response quality control (QRQC) lean manufacturing. Apply QRQC techniques for the efficient quality improvement. Serve as a main person in executing dynamic cost control, technical support representative (TSR) program, OPX2, and SAP. Manage the implementation of continuous improvements through 5S, QRQC, Lean manufacturing, change agent, Kaizen events and workshops. Handle the mitigation of risks within acceptable target for likelihood and impact.
