Daily Duties at L3 Vertex:
• Supervise and lead 10 mechanics with preventative maintenance on Fleet training squadron naval aircraft. • Perform maintenance on detachments Naval Air Station EL Centro, Fallon, and carrier operations. • Logistics coordinator, supervise and plan movement of unit gear and supplies via land transport. • Installed, repair and rig Aircraft Flight Controls and Landing Gear. • Perform Sheet metal repair on aircraft structures doors and panels. • Remove and installed Hydraulic components, Hydraulic and Pneumatic lines, testing for leaks and operation. • Applied sealant and coating to aircraft structures and fuel cells. • Manufacture and load testing and stalled flight control cables. Inspected for corrosion and damage. • Remove and replace landing gear struts, wheel assemblies, wheel brakes and hydraulic components and hardware. • Remove and replace wing surface, aircraft panels and doors. • Maintain aircraft logbooks and records incorporate changes. • QA Inspector, inspected aircraft fuselage structures damage, removal and rigging flight control surfaces, hydraulics components, wings structures for corrosion and defects. • Quality Assurance Inspector for flight controls, landing gear systems
