Cicada Work Values

Daily Duties at Cicada:

Maintained agency operations to comply with state commission, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and consistent with agency’s mission  Oversaw public policy development, government relations, issues management, policy research and advocacy implementation of the organization   Oversaw grant submissions and ensured timely funding requests  Oversaw fiscal policies and to ensure budgets met agency needs  Ensured compliance with terms of contracts, licenses, leases, and agreements as necessary for agency operations  Experienced in facilitating professional relationships with outside agencies  Worked with Board of Directors to develop policies and procedures to address agency growth and anticipated social issues  Helped lead State-wide coalitions for Federally recognized behavior health and mental health issues.  Managed multi-site interdisciplinary team of Health professionals.  Secured multi-year funding via both federal contracts and grants to ensure increase in scope of services, and growth of mission with CICADA.  Leveraged political affiliations, and professional relationships to secure funding and documented letters of support for agency.  Expanded scope of services via securing accreditations and certifications for employees, resulting in increased operational budget.  Recruited key community members to serve as volunteers on Board of Directors. BREAKTHROUGH RECOVERY OUTREACH, Mental Health Coordinator Breakthrough Recovery Outreach (BRO) is licensed by the state of Georgia and is a CARF accredited, ASAM Level III, Residential Treatment Program, and the first in metro-Atlanta to offer a wholistic approach in the treatment of mental illness and alcohol and substance abuse.  Reported to Executive Director to ensure continuity of care client to ensure recovery  Coordinated client recovery schedules and services, including AA meetings, clinical counseling sessions, treatment teams, etc.  Served as liaison between multidisciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical staff for addiction recovery and treatment  Provided resident services, issued medications, coordinated transportation and social services for clients
