Daily Duties at Duke Energy / Gus Perdikakis Associates Inc.:

Records Management Lead (4/2015 - 12/2015) The area did not have any Records Management processes in place for hard copy files. There were multiple boxes of files that had been returned from Legal where they had been on hold for many years. I have developed a process to track what has been returned and where it is to be filed. Worked to ensure that processes were in place so that the work being done is not lost once it is filed. Supervised Intern for this project. Information Specialist / Validation Lead (10/2013 - 4/2015) Analyze data associated with capital project construction documentation in for accuracy and to make sure the data will be in the correct format for transfer to other programs. Provide oversight in making sure the different types of documents go into the correct library. Coordinated work assignments for team members. Coach and answer team members questions on validation rules and document processing. Quality check team members work. Contact with external supplier of documents for clarification. Track metrics to ensure that project is on schedule for completion. Information Specialist (6/2011 - 10/2013) Process engineering drawings and project files associated with a multi-billion dollar capital project. The metadata associated with the files are quality checked before being uploaded into MS SharePoint for archiving purposes. After the files are uploaded, then a final QC is performed to ensure that the metadata matches to the correct file. Also responsible for writing and reviewing procedures. Volunteered for special projects—this is the first time that the company has done this type of archiving so the “rules” of what and how documents should be archived were still evolving. Originally the direction was not to archive version 0 of drawings if a higher revision existed. Later it was decided to keep the Rev. 0. I volunteered to go back and perform the versioning / layering necessary to have complete records. The second project was that some of the drawings had incomplete information in them. Identified which ones they were and worked with vendor to correct.
