Spearheaded end-to-end procurement functions, including specifications development, value analysis, supplier market research, negotiation, buying activities, contract administration, inventory control, and logistics management, while leading 6 direct reports to streamline processes, reduce raw material prices and costs, and identify quality vendors and suppliers. Held a top secret clearance. Negotiated contracts and terms with vendors, reevaluate existing contracts, and develop agreements along with the Legal team to meet and exceed set business objectives. Reviewed legal procurement obligations to sign and approve multimillion-dollar subcontracting plans and purchase orders. Supported small disadvantaged women-owned businesses, HUBZone, and service-disabled veterans in compliance with federal government procurement laws. Implemented Incoterms for international shipments to eliminate ambiguities and inconsistencies of country-specific sales and shipping contracts.
