Daily Duties at Republic Elite:

Oversaw global strategic sourcing of a worldwide network of suppliers of kitchen and vanity cabinets and stone slabs and finished counter-tops (quartz, granite, marble and more) from vendors in China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Italy, Africa, Spain, India, and Mexico. Business process owner for all project management processes from bid through installation/collections. Initiated and led an 18-month redesign of back-end support systems and affected business processes to improve information flow, customer service, sales and fulfillment, as well as incorporate new lines of business and product categories. Re-engineered and led all SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) planning, analysis and reporting. Built an expansive data retrieval process and analysis tool for weekly/monthly/quarterly forecasting of cabinet volumes and consumption. Reporting output became integral to cabinet plant workforce scheduling and production planning. Conducted all annual volume planning. Fully manage contract manufacturing and import supply chain relationships; provide precise communication and leadership to the team. Identified $1.2+ million in annualized cost savings opportunity through new sourcing activity and re-alignment of stone purchasing and fabrication strategy. Led and managed stand-up of partner stone fabrication plant in Mexico; Maquila operation with Republic equipment/Mexico labor. Managed $1.5 million startup budget for equipment and plant facilities, $500k working capital loan origination and distribution for partner, and all aspects of raw material procurement, fabrication ordering, scheduling, logistics movements, tax/tariff/duty implications, and full life cycle of duty drawback and tax reimbursements. Designed automated sales calculator for new quartz supplier/partner to spec Republic Elite fabrication in new Mexico plant for turnkey and supply-only project needs. Engaged cross functional team to stress test, validate, and implement web-based platform to support 100+ member sales team. Potential $25 million in annual revenue opportunity. Implemented clear and effective planning strategies to meet supply chain needs, meet demand and optimize distribution. Designed and implemented robust stone sourcing calculator (Excel) enabling faster and more comprehensive channel decisions with full budgeted project costing across multiple material options, production sources, transportation costs and timing. Established team and directly led effort to qualify designs and suppliers for new outsourced cabinet product line. Successful pilot project run in 2020 with new Mexican cabinet manufacturer. Supplier relationship expanded to offset production capacity gap for Republic-owned cabinet plant.
