Daily Duties at Trans Canada (Energy/ Oil & Gas)/Houston:

Supply Chain Manager Keystone US & Canada, Supply Chain Department - 11/2013 – 08/2014 Responsible for guiding and managing all related supply chain activities for Pipeline & Facilities at TransCanada's Supply Chain Management Group for Keystone US & Canada. Supply Chain Manager Facilities Keystone US, Supply Chain Department- 8/2013 – 11/2013 Responsible for overseen and managing all activities related with supply chain Facilities at TransCanada's Supply Chain Management Group for Keystone US. Senior Contract Analyst for Major Projects, Keystone XL & Gulf Coast, SCM Dept - 4/2012 – 8/2013 Roberto negotiated and managed the contracts for facilities construction on the Keystone XL pipeline, Gulf Coast Project and Houston Lateral the longest and safest pipeline in North America under construction today. When he took control of the facilities Contracts, he brought a meticulous attention to detail and a drive for excellence in project execution. He works with a sense of urgency and ensured that contractors and project managers maintained those same qualities that he brings to the table. He is passionate about his work and the success of the project. He traveled regularly to Calgary, where he made sure corporate got informed on the progress of the project and reinforced their confidence in Supply Chain. He also managed Bechtel's support to the project’s activities, while interfacing and supporting the construction department with legal & commercial matters. Roberto was also responsible for performing the risk analysis before contract execution as well as kept the organization updated on risk changes while the project progressed. While negotiating the general conditions with the contractors Roberto managed to establish priorities with the legal departments as well as managing successfully the difference in personalities, always getting meetings to end up in successful negotiations. As part of his responsibilities he prepared the strategies for each of the projects utilizing the vision and market needs of the company. He also guided TransCanada’s Engineering group on improving the deliverables needed for the execution of the project, as well as participated in design reviews. His feedback was continually requested and valued by upper management because of the way he managed to keep all the moving targets in perspective.
