Daily Duties at Trinet Corporation/Strategic Outsourcing, Inc.:
As the Vice President of HR for SOI, I was a highly regarded member of the senior leadership team, responsible for strategic talent management, planning, workforce analytics, organizational design, change management, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), with a focus on leadership development and organizational effectiveness, ensuring all initiatives are tied to employee engagement and performance. Responsibilities Organization Design – Utilizing org design frameworks and knowledge gathered internally and externally consult on organizational design challenges ensuring that the organization’s strategy is supported through an aligned structure, processes, rewards, people and capabilities. Proactively identify new opportunities to drive organizational effectiveness. Talent Planning – Leverage deep understanding of the business strategy to identify the right skills and capabilities of the future, building a plan to hire, develop and retain the talent needed. Drive operational planning (near term) and strategic workforce planning (long-term), inclusive of a robust succession plan for the business unit's senior leadership teams. Drive initiatives to address critical talent gaps. Talent Review/Assessment – Facilitate calibration sessions utilizing enterprise-wide tools and facilitation best practices, to ensure effective dialogue that fosters participants self-growth as well as meaningful feedback and specific development plans for those being discussed. Actively participate in and consult on staffing and selection for key positions. High Potential Development– Drive recognition of and effective use of coachable moments between leaders and their team members to foster growth and development. Coach business leaders in the creation of stretch/development opportunities for employees that also drive organizational performance. Performance Management – Leverage company systems, tools, processes to support effective performance management and coach leaders through goal setting, development planning, leadership assessments and mid- and end-of-year reviews; Facilitate understanding of pay for performance philosophy to enable performance and compensation differentiation. Engagement – Drive employee engagement across the business. Consult on the design and execution of high impact action plans related to employee survey engagement results; utilizing enterprise survey portal to analyze results and empower leaders. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion – Drive DE&I initiatives and practices in alignment with business unit objectives. Foster an inclusive culture to mitigate for unconscious biases, role modeling self-awareness and openness, and coaching leaders accordingly. Relationship Management – Build solid partnerships with business unit leaders and the HR leadership team to ensure informed and efficient solutions based on best practice, data, and understanding of the business. Change Management – Lead change (large and small) through robust change management, ensuring the awareness, desire, knowledge, ability, and reinforcement to sustain change. Coach leaders to be successful at change management.
