Daily Duties at Snc Lavalin Engineers And Constructors Inc.:

Senior Control Systems Engineer for DKRW Coal to Liquids project in FEL stage. DKRW was an investor and knew nothing of engineering or coal to liquid technology. My role was to preliminarily select instrumentation, control valve and control systems vendors, assist with PFD input and P&ID markups as pertained to process control. This was to be a coal mine-mouth plant, with coal conveyors to convey coal from mine-mouth to the plant. I worked on process control performance specification and Main Automation Contractor (MAC) scope documents. We had a similar role in the Raven Energy Coal to Liquids plant in southern Illinois. Both projects were cancelled when the price of oil exceeded $100/BBL essentially killing the project economics.
