Daily Duties at Wal Mart Pharmacy:
Compliance with licensures and controlled substance inventory as per federal and state laws; inventory control and management to reduce overage and shrinkage; in charge of proper disposal and record keeping of pharmaceutical hazardous waste; clinical and MTM adherence to increase quality performance; promotion of clinical services of immunizations and POCT (point of care testing); performing and maintaining at least monthly quality controls of all POCT equipments; scheduling of pharmacist and technicians based on business needs; opiod stewardship in establishing patient-prescriber relationship and determination of appropriate dosing based on acute/chronic pain, along with treatment plan for diagnosis; verifying accuracy and safety of medications dispensed; recommending appropriate therapeutic and safe medication alternatives to provider for patients due to insurance coverages, safety, efficacy, costs; drug utilization reviews based on drug-drug interactions/drug-disease interactions, therapeutic duplications, and allergy profiles; delivering superior service in OTC and rx consultations to patients; providing quality and timely feedback to all staff for growth and improvement.
