Daily Duties at National Oil Well Varco:
• Performed conceptual and detailed engineering design of ram type Blowout Preventer (BOP), Drilling Riser, Riser Tensioner, and Continuous Circulation System. • Performed stress analysis of BOP, Drilling Risers, and Riser Tensioners. • Conducted failure and fatigue analysis of pressure equipment and prepared technical reports. • Simulated BOP’s multi ram rubber seal mechanism using finite element to verify sealing capabilities and performance under high pressure/temperature. • Developed testing procedures of BOP and Riser Tensioners for successful product development. • Provided technical support to sales, marketing, and manufacturing. • Performed Design check of new products against API 16A, 8C, 16R and ASME pressure Vessel Codes.
