Daily Duties at Great Wolf Lodge:

Oversight of Resort daily and 24/7 IT operations and ITSM support. Manage wired and wireless network infrastructures, governance of Datacenter physical and virtual servers, on-site CCTV system, in-room television systems, RFID door locks, and helpdesk ticketing. Provide leadership, oversight, and mentorship to the IT team, ensuring maximum uptime of all business-critical business technologies. Created and governed $350k IT budget and forecasting, technology procurement, and managing IT vendor relationships, contracts, and subscription oversight. • Responsible for managing and maintaining Datacenter physical and virtual servers and MDF Telecommunications equipment. • Manage 24/7/365 IT operations, ensuring 240 end-user stations, network and server infrastructures, and 600+ analog/digital staff and guest phones are operating at peak efficiency. • Maintained network infrastructure through upgrades, patching, and equipment replacement to facilitate as near to five nine telecommunications operations and end-user proficiency. • Responsible for IT-related Sarbanes-Oxley and Credit Card PCI compliance and audit materials. • Utilize several different ITSM software (Vantiv, BMC Track-It! Zen Desk) for helpdesk case request, centralized solutions database, and accountability of staff case assignments. • Manage backup systems (Backup Exe, Veeam, and Carbonite) for GFS backups using various media types (tape, D2D, and cloud) to ensure reliable backups, redundancy, and disaster recovery. • Outfit all on-site company property connected to company LAN and VPN with anti-virus and malware protection. • Setup and configured Windows WSUS update server, then later moved to System Center Configuration Manager (SSCM) for regularly patching of security and other operating system updates. • Provide SME software and hardware training and support to IT Managers company wide. • Managed and assisted with multiple Lodge and Corporate level projects from conception thru deployment deliverable. Part of the Corporate team for the Point of Sale Project, moving from the Micros 9700 POS on-premise systems to Micros Cloud product Simphony 1.6 Cloud leading to a cost savings of $35,000. As well was assigned to the new Towel tracking system to install and develop IT Manager training and support documentation. • Great Wolf Corporate RFID/Bluetooth door Subject Mater Expert (SME), technical adviser, support, and primary point of contact for all things related to the RFID Project and nationwide rollout. Working with vendors to ensure the installed systems efficiency, access security, and maintenance costs are optimized. • Convinced key stakeholders of the value of on-premise managed web content filters for each Great Wolf location instead of managing a single server at the Corporate office. The change increased productivity of the Corporate office and local Great Wolf Lodges by 30% • Created and wrote training materials for new IT systems distributed across the company nationwide. • Manage vendor contracts, contract negotiations, and all software and hardware licensing agreements. • Represented Great Wolf Lodge as a Corporate liaison and assisted Corporate representatives with the IT infrastructure rollout to new Resort locations nationwide.
