Daily Duties at Mac Dill Afb:
Directed healthcare for 500 plus service members and families, compiling patient information and assisting provider, with patient care as well as bedside procedures. Managed and created policies and procedures for quality assurance and safety measures. Collaborated with multi-disciplinary group in case management: • Assisted in Re-acclimating an average of 15 plus PTSD patients per month to life after wartime experience. • Initiated classes in diabetes, hypertension in pregnancy, childbirth, diet for optimum health, and newborn care. • Worked many hours with soldiers diagnosed with PTSD needing to acclimate to life in country after trauma of wartime. • Worked in clinic to perform bedside procedures. • Participated in first response team in code situations. • Managed patient’s care plans followed through with scheduling and contacting patients for follow up appointments and working with other disciplines regarding patients needs.
