Daily Duties at Beachwood City Schools:
Manage class work and schedules for Deaf students, grades k-12. Collaborate with other interpreters to ensure coverage for all classes, academic events, sporting events. Collaborate with teachers to ensure complete knowledge of the subject matter to convey accurate interpretation of the material to the students. Facilitate communication between Deaf students and their peers and teachers. Direct extra-curricular Beachwood Sign Choir – teaching ASL and applying it to music, scheduling performances in the school district and Greater Cleveland area. (2005-2007 – worked for Warrensville Schools and Conneaut Area Schools due to staff reduction in Beachwood)
