Daily Duties at G 11 Quemado Ranger District:
Developed forest health, and hazardous fuels reduction projects to protect at risk communities within the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) to increase safety for fire fighters protecting thee communities. Protected forest values, wildlife plant and people by manipulating the vegetation special distribution of fuels and continuality to lower the fire intensity and flame length with the objective lowering the risk of a stand replacement event occurring. Integrated fuels projects and forest health project goals and objectives to achieve increased plant vigor through correcting overstocked site conditions. These conditions that causes increased plant competition for water space which in turn lowering resistance to drought, bark beetle infestation and disease were corrected by thinning and burning and wood and timber sales to improve forest health
