Daily Duties at Columbia Memorial Health:
Admit and treat psychiatry unit patients. Perform liaison psychiatry on the medical units. Provide both outpatient psychiatric care and geriatric psychiatric(i.e. area nursing homes) care. Provide on-call psychiatry coverage of both the ED and the psych unit. Provide psychopharmacology for the main substance abuse provider in the area. Supervised an occupational health office and provided DOT physicals, various company physicals, law enforcement physicals, employee physicals as well drug testing and interpretation. Provide medical care for the psychiatry unit patients and area nursing home patients. Practice family medicine. I would often be involved with providing both psychiatry and medical care; engaged in two or sometimes three different jobs simultaneously.
