Daily Duties at Walgreens:
Developed, led, and supervised a team consisting of 6 technicians ensuring the safe, accurate dispensation and delivery of up to 300 prescriptions per day in a fast paced retail pharmacy setting. Evaluated and optimized workflow processes to maximize efficiency and productivity to achieve established performance metrics of 80% or higher of orders being delivered by the promised time. Consulted and conferred with prescribing physicians to review medication profiles, clarify prescription requests, and to recommend cost-effective therapeutic alternatives to prevent contraindications and adverse outcomes. Individually counseled patients regarding the administration and storage of medications, in addition to potential side effects, to maintain safety and treatment efficacy. Accurately managed product and supply inventory counts; properly disposed of expired or recalled drugs, and facilitated orders, as needed, to ensure readily available access to requisite medications. Increased awareness of preventative care measures by conducting blood pressure checks and administering immunizations to improve the wellbeing of individuals and the community. Ensured that all clinical and administrative activities were carried out in full compliance with organizational protocols, state, local, and federal pharmacy regulations.
