Daily Duties at Usa Today Wisconsin (Gannett):
• Responsible for the management of cohesive, integrated marketing solutions including, media planning, digital and social outreach, event planning, research, analysis and program concepts for multiple clients and verticals • Created and launched Concept Sales, Cause Marketing, Editorial Underwriting and Sports Marketing multi-media campaigns, each with a unique event therein that generated $3.5M+ in annual incremental revenue • Applied project management techniques to the creation and development of large-scale events such as community events (Town Halls), ceremonies (WI High School Awards), customer appreciation events, sales incentive events, conferences, and talent appearances; each uniquely tailored to engage specific market segments • Managed target audience outreach strategy (marketing, communication and PR plans), ad placement channels and schedules, devised event concepts, planned logistics and coordinated the technical aspects, then launched/executed • Responsible for day-of on-site activation including the creative (signage and on-site messaging), logistical elements, delivered on overall concept design, brand integration, audio-visual production, script writing, vendor negotiation, and managed the integration of all sponsor deliverables • Scheduled and lead strategic planning sessions with leadership, clients, sponsors and management to determine the scope and objectives of each project/ event • Oversaw all activation staff (project managers) created Run of Show documents, and programming schedules • Promoted team collaboration, provided direction to event production team, vendors, exhibitors, event staff, interns, volunteers, and student organizations • Negotiated terms with agents utilizing talent through appearances at events. Talent included: Green Bay Packer players: Aaron Rodgers, Randall Cobb, Clay Mathews; MLB All-starts: Cal Ripken Jr., Anthony Rizzo, Jonathan Lucroy; State Officials such as Governor Scott Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch; Corporate Officials such as: CEOs, Presidents, Board Members, etc. • Worked closely with Tier A Premium corporate accounts and corresponding Sales teams; exceeded sales goals • Responsible for developing, maintaining and reviewing all market data, and client specific data to ensure that all financial forecasts, budgets and proposals, were in line with short and long-term growth strategies • Responsible for working with Corporate Council to formalize customer contracts and third-party contracts • Anticipated and overcame objections, uncovered and resolved (potential) problems and removed obstacles by interacting and planning with other functional departments • Regularly communicated financial and activation progress and report out documents for senior leadership • This work has resulted in excellent satisfaction reports leading to retention and renewal at an 87% renewal rate
