Daily Duties at New Jersey Institute Of Technology:

Supervised classes of 60-70 students and provided educational materials and weekly homework to students for the Civil Engineering Cources. Projects: Traffic Microsimulation Framework: Improved transit, Auto, TNC and Delivery operations by using the following strategies to manage the curb: (1) Shifting from parking lane to the reserved-on street and lay-by pick up/drop off zones;(2) Queue jumps at multiple intersection. Monitored real time situations with intent to improve infrastructure for urban development. • Influencing Factors of Bike sharing for Sustainable Transportation: Utilized ArcGIS to analyze the bike sharing trends to identify the main determinants of ridership that were relevant for the success and performance of these systems in large and small cities considering different demographic, socioeconomic and geographic characteristics by using census data. • Assess of Active Traffic Management Strategies Along I-80, NJ: Investigated the impact of volume change, incident occurrence, and three use cases of the developed network (VSL, HSR and combination of HSR and VSL deployment) on travel time of selected test bed. • Supervised Machine Learning in Travel Time Prediction from Theory to Practice: Studied RF and SVR as two of the most commonly used supervised machine learning techniques for travel time prediction. Theoretical study. • Safety Crash Analysis of Route 508, Newark, NJ: Investigated fatality crashes, and potential contributing factors with safety pedestrian evaluation performed by VISSIM for the intersection to avoid similar crashes for community benefit. • Signal Progression Plan Along Intersections in downtown Newark, NJ: Use a Synchro Model to develop a progression plan to increase the efficiency of selected test bed providing valuable feedback for safety and traffic development. • Perform an operational analysis of the 4-leg intersection in non-CBD area: Improved intersection delay, v/c ratio and LOS by Synchro 10 and HCS 2010 through practical study and application of change and change management. • Analysis and Evaluation of Various Transportation Modes to Connect Secaucus Junction (NJT Frank. R), MetLife and American Dream Mall: Proposed various alternatives and compared feasibility of alternates through interpersonal engagement based on financial, environmental and safety criteria and proposed potential funding sources for the selected one. • Plugged- in Electric Vehicles: Proposed a study and implementation plans to help underserved communities to afford and adopt Plug-In Electric Vehicles (PEV) in the state of New Jersey including Newark, Washington Township and New Brunswick. • Construction Management: Responsible for business communications and creation of a Full Written Report (bidding process, project scheduling, construction contractors’ work, contracting information, agenda and recommendations) of active site construction with the help of RDMCM, Gensler, Clune Constructions, Sweet Constructions, and Emblem Health, NYC.
