Daily Duties at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix :
Assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated individualized care for 3-4 critically unstable cardiac patients per shift with varied diagnosed heart conditions and complex vascular disorders. Collaborated with interdisciplinary physicians to interpret and administer pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions, as ordered. Monitored patient responses to care and recorded/communicated any abnormal observations warranting further medical investigation. Initiated stabilizing and corrective actions in the event of sudden life-threatening emergency situations until higher level care was provided. Offered education, resources, and support to patients and family members on healthy behaviors empowering engaged and informed decision making leading to long term positive results. Provided influential unit leadership by delegating patient and staff assignments and sustaining an environment committed to first class patient care. Championed a preceptor role by providing teaching and learning opportunities for new and continuing personnel in their transition to the PCU. • Consistently achieved performance and review ratings of “exceeds expectations.” • Honored recipient of the X-factor award; this award is presented by peers and patients for excellence in clinical practice.
