• Responsible for the overall operation of the facility on assigned shift, including assigning production responsibilities, employee relations, performance evaluations, and managing five subordinate supervisors and 110 hourly associates. • Develop team’s analytical skills and abilities to effectively supervise and lead others, to resolve complex production and quality problems, and managing difficult personnel problems utilizing outstanding interpersonal conflict management skills. This accomplished while maintaining quality control systems. • Reduced scrap by 25% the first year by empowering all associates to perform quality checks in their own areas. Worked with paint supplier and was able to reduce paint usage by 40%. • Implemented Andon systems in various departments to minimize down time and maximize product delivery. Also established efficiency boards, creating visual aids of associate’s hourly production rates.
