Daily Duties at Illinois Department Of Corrections:
Oversaw daily operations of State Agency employing more than 14,000 personnel operating 41 facilities housing 45,000 adults inmates and 1,500 juveniles with an annual budget in excess of $1.25B. Directed oversight of unit managing all labor relation function. This included labor-management meetings; labor negotiations with AFSCME, INA (Nurses) and Local Teamster unions; and processing of more than 3,000 employee grievances per year. Testified before numerous committees of the Illinois House and Senate regarding Agency related issues. Represented the Agency as head of the bargaining team in contract negotiations with all bargaining units.
