Daily Duties at Schlumberger :

• Managed a global support team of Network Engineers based in Houston and coordinated remote activities via a regional support team located in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Far East. • Service Management of the Transocean WAN including support of the companies Routers, Firewalls, VPN gateways, DNS servers, MTAs, and a number of other network devices for 120+ land and offshore rig locations. • Carrier management of the WAN data circuits which utilized an IP based MPLS backbone, various terrestrial links, and satellite services from over a dozen telecommunications providers. • Coordinated 1st and 2nd level WAN support provided by Network Operations Centers in Houston and Kuala Lumpur as well as the call center services provided by a Houston, TX based Service desk. • Provided financial P&L management, quotes, purchasing, vendor and customer relations, status reports, service reviews, and assistance with contract development and negotiations.
