Daily Duties at Joann Fabric & Craft:

Maintain complete and ultimate accountability for the store’s overall performance. This includes, but is not limited to, sales and profitability; execution and supervision of merchandising plans and operational processes; and attracting, retaining, and developing a high performing team. Additional highlights of my experience include; great team building; implement company’s performance management process including delivery of annual performance reviews, management training, and career development. Assume ownership of new hire orientation and certification training for all team members. Conduct regular meetings to keep leadership team informed of key events and initiatives. Participated in weekly district conference calls. Great operations; ensure payroll and scheduling system are utilize to control store expenses and maximize allocated labor resources. Maintain the safety and security of the team members, customers, and property and communicate concerns to DTL/Regional office and store support center. Uphold all legal and compliance standards in HR practices and shrink, audit, and safety programs. Guest service; ensure team provided exceptional in- store experience for customers and achieved sales goal. Drive sales; analyze financial reports and create plan to increase sales and address store performance opportunities. Floor management; utilize daily store tour program to identify, assign and follow up on key initiatives. Encourage team to develop skills and knowledge in all areas of the store. I am accountable and result oriented; customer focus; adapt and learn; exercise sound judgement.
