Daily Duties at Prolacta Boscience:

Partner and support multiple Neonatology Intensive Care units in Pennsylvania and WV markets. As a Clinical Sales Specialist at Prolacta, I help advance the science of an exclusive milk diet for premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Working for a scientifically driven biologic company, I am committed to improving premature infant nutrition, and using human milk to change the Standard of Care in the NICU to Excellence in Care. Donor milk products and fortifiers at Prolacta are clinically shown to reduce NEC, length of stay, and provided optimal growth. Establish key relationships with Neonatologists, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Registered Dietitians, Nurse Managers and other NICU Staff, in implementation of the Exclusive Human Milk Diet Therapy for babies less than 1500g. An Exclusive Human Milk Diet Therpy is Clinical Researched resulting in improved feeding tolerance, to achieve their patient growth goals while minimizing the risks, costly complications and morbidity of these fragile infants. Helping hospitals reduce their patient length of stay, TPN usage, sepsis, NEC and other co-morbidities of prematurity, by utilizing the Clinical Research to support this Biologic Therapy. I partner with NICU Leadership to show the C-Suite how the cost offsets of the Exclusive Human Milk Diet more than cover the costs of an Exclusive Human Milk Diet, improve patient satisfaction and reduce the stress experienced by staff managing these complex patients. I believe in the AAP Policy Statement that all babies under 1500g deserve access to human milk.
