Daily Duties at Abarta Oil & Gas Co., Llc:

• Manages the acquisition of geoscientific data of current development and potential exploration plays/concepts for the exploitation of potential hydrocarbon reserves. • Manages the acquisition of promising land and leases as well as the development from acquisition through production. • Evaluates the economic potential of exploitable reserves; • Manage all facets of the development drilling including identifying target horizons/zones, development of Geologic Prognoses, and managing and supervising onsite geological services (mudlogging and geosteering). Ensures contracted services are fulfilled according to agreement. • Manages multidisciplinary teams to develop and produce both conventional and unconventional drilling program. • Manages the budget and staffing of current development and exploration program.

Skills

• Extensive experience in generating various types of geologic maps/models including isopachs, structure maps, isoliths, and derivative maps., • Application of sequence stratigraphy to outcrop and subsurface data., • Geological interpretation of geophysical well logs., • Interpretation of stratigraphy and structural relationships from seismic profiles., • Compilation and interpretation of sedimentological data from cores., • Extensive field experience including mapping and stratigraphic section measuring., • Experience in several North American Geologic Basins: Appalachian Basin, Michigan Basin, Cherokee Basin, Illinois Basin, Fort Worth Basin, Uinta-Piceance Basin and Eastern Great Basin, • Excellent teamwork skills in addition to people management skills., • Ability to work effectively within a chain-of-command hierarchy to fulfill mission goals at various levels., • Ability to problem solve using both conventional and unconventional approaches., • Solid IT foundation including use of Geographix, Kingdom, Microsoft Office Suite, freehand graphics and digital image editing software.
