Daily Duties at Université Libre De Bruxelles :
I was hired into Cnop lab because of my extensive experience in human induced and pluripotent stem cells. My main responsible was to - set up aspetic stem cell laboratory in Cnop lab as a tool for diabetes research - stabilize multiple stem cell lines and prepare well organized cell banks - establish functional beta cell differentiation method from stem cells - reprogramming new pluripotent stem cell lines from human blood cell - managing the stem cell lab - teaching and training other scientist and technicians - take care of multiple cell based assays like metabolic assays, immunochemistry, FACS and gene expression analysis with qPCR - participate weekly lab meetings and present weekly progress - participate international scientific meetings and present own and the team results - write grant applications together with other scientist and supervisors - write and submit publication - planning and execute scientific experiments - Follow scientific literature and at least once per month present follow-up to other lab members
