• Led a staff of 5 as an Associate Director in the Global Arbitrage Trading Group (GAT), covering the P&L production and month-end close for Credit Opportunities, Investment Grade, Auction Rate Swaps, SwapsNY, Equity Finance, Bahamas and Principal Financing desks • Designed new processes from concept-to-completion including daily P&L spreadsheets for new CLO trading desk, thus exceeding expectations • Fortified relationships with stakeholders including trading desk, operations, IT, internal audit and financial control; approved daily P&L; and investigated and prepared Volcker metrics commentaries • Analyzed and submitted P&L decomposition and related risk based market commentary; conducted in-depth analysis of funding charges and aged interest • Streamlined & automated reconciliations to improve workflows and increase accuracy of daily P&L and balance sheet reporting, while conducting P&L sub-ledger reconciliation for CLO desk, thus implementing to all ICI MBS books • Enhanced FOBO process for Credit Opp and Loans desks working closely with Front Office to provide more accurate flash to actual variances, and advanced P&L decomposition process for CLO and Credit Loans - Operated in the Municipal Bond trading desk along with regional P&L production - Coordinated with individual traders and desks heads on P&L results - Steered and directed all aspects of P&L and balance sheet reporting - Operate cross-functionally and inter-departmentally with product control, operations, IT, and reference data - Main point person for all audit requests and interactions - Closed out legacy books and liquidated in GAT shutdown - Executed dynamic monthly review package to standardize / manage control reconciliations (Sophis vs eGL, GATMail vs eGL, accruals & unremitted profits)
