Daily Duties at Wayland Academy (Private College Preparatory School):

Taugth: Multiple levels of Spanish (2Honors-AP Spanish) At Wayland Academy faculty members are more than just teachers. I was a mentor, a dorm supervisor and a coach. Wayland’s mentoring program was similar to an advising program, but it also basically served as a social program for the boarding students. The intention was to assist and encourage students to become motivated, thinking, caring and independent young people. As a mentor, I was the primary link to Wayland for students and parents. I kept my mentees’ parents informed of student progress with periodic written reports. Parents were able to contact me at any time as well with any concerns they had about their children. At the least, I contacted parents every two weeks with grade and behavioral updates. Besides serving as a mentor, I also resided on campus in an apartment in one of the female student residence halls and had dorm duty every Thursday evening and weekend duty once a month. I also coached girl’s tennis and soccer.

What they like about Wayland Academy (Private College Preparatory School):

A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
