Daily Duties at Mary Kay Inc.:

• Identified with Operations and Quality inputs to formalize all user and scope requirements and specifications relating to manufacturing space and equipment to 3rd party design group which includes central weigh, processing, packaging, and sanitation areas • Strategized packaging and processing equipment to be relocated or obsoleted • Performed processing capacity analysis, source and negotiate, and recommend number of new vacuum mixing plants • Developed equipment relocation, purchases, installation, and qualification budget • Reviewed, adjusted, and approved engineering standards, P&IDs, utility & equipment layouts, specifications for pipe/tubing materials and components from design firm or contractors • Performed value engineering analysis to reduce cost • Managed project activities: Attend OC, team, and stakeholder meetings, timeline assessments, site activities, budget reviews, installations, commissioning, and qualifications • Oversaw the installation of manufacturing equipment and utility hook-up and was a liaison for mechanical vendors • Commissioned, qualified, and troubleshooted manufacturing equipment issues Special 3-year assignment in China (similar duties as relocation project) (08/2012 – 07/2015) • Prepared high-level budget and BC to justify the construction of the new manufacturing plant • Identified, procured, installed, and qualified all new manufacturing equipment • Temporarily led and developed the China Engineering team. Completed search for Director and Sr Manager of Engineering • Consulted and mentored engineering project owners in Dallas and China • Assessed and provided feedback on all manufacturing & R&D equipment and Purchasing Capital Expenditure (CapEx) budget requests
