Negotiated litigation settlements between investors, borrowers, and third parties on residential mortgage loans, including global settlements and releases, loan modifications, short sale, deeds in lieu, and short payoffs. • High-visibility role as a corporate representative in court proceedings. A representative for litigation conferences and trials on behalf of SLS and investors and frequently achieve positive outcomes or obtain judgments or settlements for company. • Consistently maintain a 95%+ preparation rate for upcoming hearings, and 40-50% monthly close rate, on assigned cases. • Escalate and resolve post-sale and REO, non-compliance, government complaint, and bankruptcy matters in order to minimize risk to company and investors. • Extensive familiarity with federal mortgage regulations, as well as various state foreclosure laws. Able to break down the result of a review, or necessary documentation required to underwrite, for all parties in a clear and concise manner. Assist management with process improvement based on customer and court feedback and changing case law
