Purchasing Manager • Purchased items for sale and stock for 5 locations of electrical wholesale distributor; spend between $10 and $18 million per year. • Maintained inventory system of 10,000 items by adding and deleting items from inventory and adjusting item count and cost. • Approved accounts payables for cost differences and debited for errors and damages. • Handled communications and negotiations with vendors and manufacturer reps. • Supervise staff of 4 and work with sales staff. • Oversaw four major line changes. • Implemented e-mail bid system for commodities, researched new software packages for company, tracked cycle count variances for all branches.
