- Built an award-winning TMT investment banking team from the ground up - Built the office infrastructure with in-house business, sector and market analytics. - Developed relationships at the C-suite as a trusted strategic advisor, - Generated holistic proprietary ideas tailored to meet clients’ corporate finance needs, covering equity and debt capital markets and M&A. - Designed and maintained sector coverage plans, client activity mapping and market analytics used for client acquisitions and transaction origination - Conducted client wallet sizing, segmentation and needs assessment to identify corporate and investment banking business - Managed the bank’s client relationships across the TMT sector in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) - Oversaw credit approvals for loan extensions, setting, along with the credit officers, the balance sheet deployment and exposure limits for the bank’s TMT MEA portfolio - Oversaw the update, maintenance and approval of TMT clients credit analysis memoranda - Identified and generated opportunities across the corporate and investment banking product suite in the TMT sector. - Hired, trained and managed a team of 7 bankers, covering financial modelling, financial and credit risk analysis, and valuation techniques - Set the annual budget for the TMT teams, in consultation with senior management, and conducted quarterly reviews - Tracked and reported on monthly and quarterly performance against the budget - Oversaw the execution of all transactions for the bank’s TMT MEA clients, including M&A, debt/equity capital markets, syndicated loans, transaction banking, HY/IG and structured, asset-based and leveraged finance, acting as the project manager of the transaction’s execution - Oversaw the valuation and financial analysis of TMT businesses and assets across Africa and the Middle East
