Daily Duties at Bausch & Lomb Pharmaceuticals:

Supervise all phases of the pharmaceutical manufacturing process which includes maintenance, utilities, engineering, site and critical utility functions for the cGMP pharmaceutical ophthalmic and ointment sterile products division which employs 600 in a 200,000 square feet facility. The Bausch & Lomb Tampa facility ships between 50 to 100 million ophthalmic units annually operating 24/7. Provided complete Facilities and Utilities services for supporting a site staff of 400 direct laborers and 20 supervisors during daytime shift. Also manage facilities related contracts with external suppliers for janitorial, pest control, security and cafeteria services. Provide facilities inspections through the Facility Review Board, building space allocation and layout. Maintain close partnerships with internal site and external customers (Federal, State and Local) code regulations. Maintain regulatory compliance in alignment with B&L Quality standards and expectations for testing, inspection, and maintenance of equipment in accordance with engineering principals and safety regulations. Provide direct input to the Strategic Capital Project Plan, as well as support design, approval and implementation of capital projects. Coordinate and lead the bi-annual site shutdowns and activities. Manage the Facilities and Utilities annual budget of approximately $10 million dollars.
