Daily Duties at Prudential Health Care:

Throughout tenure and positions of increasing responsibility, I was responsible for essential functional areas of group model managed care plan, including network development and provider contracting, both simple and complex (for hospitals, group and individual physician offices, ambulatory care facilities and other healthcare professionals). This included directing staff to achieve stated plan goals and objectives, creating informational material for provider workshops and education; accountable for coordinating and monitor daily workflow, quality and production of 20 employees, including managing hiring decisions, coaching/mentoring and disciplinary actions related to claims processing, auditing and training staff. Also spent 1 year as a financial analyst gathering and distributing data to support contractual agreements with health plan providers. Worked with health plans or internal data warehouse team to research and resolve data issues. Identified a $1M over-payment to a hospital that was recovered over the next two years through contract re-negotiations.

What they like about Prudential Health Care:

You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.
