Blind Childrens Center Work Values

Daily Duties at Blind Childrens Center:

Teach second-grade students with special needs and reverse mainstream (typical) students in a full inclusion setting. Delivering instruction of general education and alternative curriculum. Work with children with disabilities from mild to severe, blind or visually impaired, Autism spectrum, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, implement sensory diets, G­tube feeding , assist children with AFO's, transitioning children who are non­mobile, differentiate instruction, implement RTI, problem solving, work within a multidisciplinary framework(includes: nurse, OT, PT, TVI, O&M, psychologist, and family workers), family-focused framework, working in conjunction with parents to develop and attain children's developmental, academic and social goals, coach Associate Teachers assigned to classroom, designated as a Master teacher, with opportunities to train/coach other teachers, making accommodations and adaptations to the curriculum to meet the needs of all students.
