Daily Duties at Southwest Adams County Fire District:

• Was hired as part-time during an audit and had pointed out several critical errors the former accountant had made they decided to hire as a full-time employee. • Resolved QuickBooks accounting software set up errors and assisted others in running it correctly. • Signer on ten banks accounts and late consolidated to six bank accounts to including Money Purchase Plan. • The Money Purchase Plan included keeping track of employee loans. • Evaluated vendor invoices and sent out disbursements. • Manage petty cash. • Excel spreadsheet with lookup tables and pivot tables to process in-house payroll for 39 employees; prepare check run, ACH transactions, and benefits administrator. • File all payroll quarterly and annual tax reports. • Keep confidential and sensitive information about staff to include scanning and documenting. • Reconciled general ledger accounts and prepared journal entries. • Interacted with department managers regarding maintain G/L accounts and analyzed budget monthly with department managers on a day-to-day basis. • Monitored receipt of all country funding to the general ledger for the purpose of ensuring the accuracy of reported information in accordance with GAAP, availability of funds, program policies, practices and regulatory requirements. • Process month end reports and prepared the financial statement. • HIPAA training. • Reviewed paperwork for ambulance billing. • Attendee board meeting and prepare minutes. • Supervised accounting staff.
