Daily Duties at Northwestern Mutual:
• Reviewed new applications for life insurance and evaluated correct risk class based on multiple critical factors including but not limited to: paramedical exams, height and weight, blood test results, urine specimen results, Attending Physician Statements (APS), occupational risk, travel risks, financial risks, motor vehicle risk, credit checks, criminal background checks, and prescription database inquiries. • Analyzed complex or $1M+ high-value cases, referenced all available guidelines relevant medical information from the medical department combined with peer review, escalated referrals to make final decision on cases. • Approved cases with a graduated amount limit up to $1,000,000 and up to age 50 based on proficiency • Approved cases up to $2,000,000 and to age 60 with second signature approval. • Developed collaborative relationships with agents and partnerships with new business staff to achieve departmental goals • Managed an average of more than 200 outstanding cases
