Daily Duties at Victor Valley Community Hospital:
16-bed, locked, county certified 5150 (72 hour hold) unit located in rural, high desert area of San Bernardino County Operational oversight of all inpatient / outpatient psychiatric services. Recruited new psychiatrist as Medical Director Revised all policies and procedures, created 23 hour triage area for 5150 patients across from inpatient unit Successfully brought inpatient unit though Medicare Jeopardy, patient’s right review, JCAHO inquires and HCFA Expanded partial hospitalization program and IOP services to increase census by 50% Passed Joint Commission survey in 2001 with minimal recommendations
