Daily Duties at Kaiser Permanente:

As a Project Manager Lead/Consultant I was responsible for overseeing the California annual Medicare submission process interpreted new federal guidelines and ensured benefits were compliant and filed on-time.  Defended the methodology used during the federal regulatory review process, provided leadership and subject matter expertise to resolve benefit coverage issues, developed and implemented tools to support day-to-day operations and identified opportunities to increase business efficiency.  Created, implemented and automated a national reporting tool that standardized and aligned strategic health plan decisions with federal reporting mandates across 7 regions.  As a result, manual input decreased by 75%, input errors decreased by 80%, report turnaround increased by 2 days, duplication of strategic decisions used in downstream marketing material decreased by 50% and regional reporting metrics were aligned across the program.   As a Financial Consultant, I was Responsible for Maintaining GL, entering journal entries, and reconciling balance sheet and income statement.  Prepared month-end fixed asset re-class journal entries created and maintained Business Objects reports for fixed asset accounting and capital reporting.  Investigated, resolved and reported regional variance issues, and prepared annual fixed asset documentation for property tax reporting.  Researched audit request for year-end.
