Daily Duties at Select Usa:

I directed, organized and executed the 2017 SelectUSA Investment Summit which is the highest-profile event dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) in the United States. This signature event provided an unparalleled opportunity to bring together companies from all over the world, economic development organizations from every corner of the nation, and other parties working to facilitate business investment in the United States. It featured senior government officials, C-Suite business executives, and other thought leaders, the summit focused on a timely theme related to the U.S. investment environment, industry trends, and new opportunities. The 2017 Summit was the largest attended event in its four-year history. There were over 3,000 attendees, with 1,148 accredited international investors from over 64 countries, 600 economic development organizations from 51 states and territories and 350 vendors supporting the three-day event. The Summit's theme – "Grow with US" – highlighted the innovative business climate in the United States and featured investment opportunities from every corner of the country. Increased networking time provided new, unparalleled opportunities for a wide range of global investors to engage with state, regional, and local economic developers – all under one roof. Global executives, like GM's Mary Barra and General Electric's Jeffrey Immelt (and many more), shared a clear roadmap of how businesses of any size, and in any industry, can both benefit from and contribute to the U.S. economy – and grow with us.
