Daily Duties at Bechtel Oil, Gas & Chemicals:
Defined HR goals and focus related to engagement, training, and staff supplements with qualified technical resources within the Supply Chain/Procurement organization. Oversaw resource allocation, compensation, training, and retention. • Provided direct HR support to 60 Senior Engineering Managers and managed a $4M budget for the Engineering division and a $1.6M budget for the OG&C Procurement group • Gathered performance metrics and developed talent pipeline for succession and retention planning and coordinated training for the Engineering department • Served as the training coordinator and career development counselor processing new hires, transfers, relocations, terminations, LOAs, and changes in domestic and international assignments • Spearheaded college recruiting efforts and forged relationships with the University of Houston Supply Chain department to advance recruitment efforts and advise on curriculum guidelines * Had 5 HR Professionals reporting directly to me while working with engineering functional group and 2 while working with Procurement
