Daily Duties at Isfahan University Of Medical Sciences:

This long period was divided into two separate sections: before and after MSc of clinical epidemiology in Canada (2006-2008). Before 2006, I worked in Poursina Clinic and Research Institute since 1998. After 2008, I worked in the Department of Epidemiology. They were both part of medical school. The main responsibilities in both sections were the same, as follows: Designed research studies in collaboration with physicians Provided expertise in the design, management and evaluation of study protocols and health status questionnaires, sample selection and analysis. Wrote research proposals and grant applications for submission to external bodies. Designed surveys to assess health issues. Determined project plans, timelines, or technical objectives for statistical aspects of research studies. Reviewed clinical or other medical research protocols and recommend appropriate statistical analyses. Developed or implemented data analysis algorithms. Wrote detailed analysis plans and descriptions of analyses and findings for research protocols or reports. Calculated sample size requirements for clinical studies. Initiated new studies and executed research protocols. Wrote program code to analyze data using statistical analysis softwares (SAS, R and SPSS). Analyzed clinical or survey data using statistical approaches such as longitudinal analysis, mixed effect modeling, logistic regression analyses, and model building techniques. Prepared tables and graphs to present clinical data or results. Drew conclusions or make predictions based on data summaries or statistical analyses. Prepared articles for presentation at professional conferences. Wrote manuscripts and published scientific articles. Provided biostatistical consultation to other members of department. Prepared statistical data for inclusion in reports to data monitoring committees, federal regulatory agencies, managers, or clients. Read current literature, attended meetings or conferences, and talked with colleagues to keep abreast of methodological or conceptual developments in the related fields of biostatistics and epidemiology. Assigned work to biostatistical assistants or programmers. Directed research studies related to the medicine. Monitored clinical trials or experiments to ensure adherence to establish procedures or to verify the quality of data collected.
